Very small technology.

It attempts to answer a daunting question how can we build things at a molecular level.
This is why it is called nanotechnology since we are dealing with size less hen 10^-9 of a meter or one thousands of a micro meter. Actually we are dealing in much a smaller resolutions. .

nano means 10 to the power of -9. i.e 1 divided by 1000000000. nano technology means the technique of manipulating, controlling the natural structure and arrangement of atoms to suit different purposes. this field has a great future. its application are as follows- 1. nano reactors 2. nano tubes which can act as filters these are some examples of many hope this helps

Nano-technology refers to study and design of extremely tiny components with sizes at the micron level (one millionth of a meter)...tinier than a speck of dust. With nano-technology, tiny gears, tubes, or other instruments can be built smaller than a grain of dust. It is built right down to the molecular level where individual atoms can make the teeth of gears, the lining of tubes, etc.
