I sit up straight but it still hurts....anyone experience this and what did you do to ease the pain?? I can't quit my job, I would love to but I have to get through it but any tips it would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I have had this pain but not till I was farther along
its like my whole lower back was killin' me
if i would sit for a long period of time
I would try to lean forward or u would have to get up and walk around
I feel for u having to sit 8 hours while prego
maybe u can get a differnt chair or ask if u can bring in ur own i know thats probably not possible but hey u never know

Try some other chairs in the office and see if anyone is willing to trade with you. They'll be more willing to help out after you announce that you're pregnant.

If there's a chair at home that's comfortable, think about bringing it to the office.

After you announce, maybe your boss would buy you a better chair.

Good luck, and congratulations!

Get a back support pillow. Put something under your desk to prop your feet on. Get up and walk as often as you can throughout the day. Drink lots of water, and take a reg. strength Tylenol on the bad days(dont make a habbit of it) and ask the daddy for a nice massage when you get home.

A nice warm shower with Aveeno Bath Oil is always nice after an 8 hour day!

Congrats on the pregnancy!!!

Try standing up and stretching a little bit every 20 mins or so. I'm alot further along than you, but if you don't have to wear a dress or skirt, I've found that if I sit with my knees wide open, I'm a lot more comfortable. Not very lady-like, but comfy none the less!

I had this weird tailbone pain which was relieved when I started to sit STRAIGHT up in the chair. Try that and try to exercise more and stretch, it helps a lot!

Bring a pillow into the office to support your back. It helps when you have those really crappy office chairs.
