If you're looking for a hormonal method, I've had no trouble so far with NuvaRing. I used to be on the patch, but I had trouble keeping it on my body.

I would avoid the Depo-Provera shot like the plague, though. I've heard so many horror stories.

Well, I'm against birth control because of religious beliefs. But if you must, just stick with the orthro tricyclen because there is a lower risk of blood clot, etc. than the newer patches and applicators that are out now. A doctor said so.

I've been on loestrin for years and loved it. I switched to Yasmin here in the last couple of months due to it supposed to help with PCOS and have not had problem with it either.

not to preach to anyone here...but I was on bc and had a stroke when I was 30 from it...(3 years ago) I am not overweight, no high cholesterol, and I don't smoke...Thank goodness I didn't have any serious lasting problems from it, but note that side effects can occur even if you are healthy!!
Please check w/ your doctor before trying any new ones to see the hormone levels...
