Don't you think if you had a friend or family member auditioning that was terrible, you would tell them?? And save them the embarassment. These people just want to be on tv and its stupid. I think if you are talented enough you should go about it the right way and not support this gimmick. They really should've stopped after Kelly Clarkson, the show is just getting worse

I know it drives me crazy! I don't watch the show, I just don't get into it, I don't think it's real, I think the show decides who they want to win and they make that happen. I don't like it in the beginning when they show the bad auditions just to make fun of those people. I basically don't like anything about the show. Plus, I don't watch the show on purpose, yet everywhere I turn I'm being force fed the endless mindless recaps of the show the next day. Why do people do this?!?!??? If you took to the time to watch the show and your friends watched it as well, what is this incessant need to rehash it and pick it apart? HELLO, there are people out there in the world who don't care! I can't wait for it to come to an end, only a couple of Idol winners have truly benefited from the show and the rest have sunk back into oblivion. Pointless.

I personally hate American Idol. I agree with you 100%. I had a friend who auditioned for it and they blatantly told her that they only took the absolutely amazing and the incredibly horrible so that they could get good ratings. The only "idol" to ever become a success was Kelly. What's even worse than the show is the morning talk shows who have the latest reject on their show. No one wants to hear what they have to say.

It really is getting worse, it was better the first season when they would actually show people with talent, but now they only show the people that stink. The show has become too much about making people look stupid instead of trying to find talented singers. And now people who can't sing go on and sing as horribly as possible in order to get their 15 seconds of fame.

I love American Idol. It's not the show's fault that hardly anyone has any talent! But the music industry would not be where it is now without people like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. And those people would have probably never been discovered if it wasn't for this show.

I agree with you on the gimick thing.its ridiculous.any of them progs are silly.these people want to be famous full stop.nothing more.do they not want to make their own music cause even if you win them programs you wont be making your own music.puppets on strings you'll be and made to do anything so the people above you can make more money than you.they dont care one bit at all.they make out they want to make someone famous and make their dreams come tru.reality is they will pick someone to make them more money and give their puppet an allowance.i can only imagine that people try out for them shows to be on tv.really if you want a musical career they are not the way to go.silly program to make ratings.thats all they are

I get annoyed simply from the promo's and the "american Idol" fever that grips the country at times, show us where our priorities are..... it basically is America's Best Karoke singer. Except for william hung, that was just mean.

Yes I can't stand this show, the best part is when the people audition and make fools out of themselves that is the only time I watch.

I wish it was not limited to just young people. I think there are a lot of people over 30 that could use this as a chance to show that they can sing better than the crap that gets on that show.

everyone has a right to pursuit their dream whether they suck or don't. People go on there hoping for the impossible and some get it. You have to try or you might regret things. It takes balls to get up there and sing when you think you might not make it. Hell i don't have the balls to sing in front of millions if i suck. Do you?
