I know Aerosmith done a later version, which most people know, but the earlier one is done by them also, EVEN tho I know it doesnt soundl ike them. My gf says Led Zepp. was the earlier one BUT I dont ever remember them doing a version. If anyone knows of anyone else who done a early version Please let me know.

Led Zepplin never had a song called Dream On for any album from their debut album in 1969 to 1973
Led Zeppelin (1969)
Led Zeppelin II (1969)
Led Zeppelin III (1970)
Led Zeppelin IV (1971)

All of the above are correct.

Just wanted to add that's it's easy to see how your gf would mix the 2 up though. "Dream On' is TOTALLY structured like 'Stairway'. The way it builds up etc. I think 'Stairway' & Zepp in general were a big influence on early Aerosmith.

It is Aerosmith...from their first album titled "Aerosmith"
Led Zeppelin never recorded it. Steven Tyler wrote the song when he was only 16 in his first band Chain Reaction!

ok.. i am a die hard led zeppelin, and no for a fact that they don't have the original dream on song.. or even a cover for that matter.
