Interesting that you mention that as just recently another scholar attempted to examine the legacies of different presidents. Warren Harding is seen as the most detested, although he was very popular at the time of his presidency. I think that his policies aside, George W Bush's presidency should take a while to decipher and evaluate. In the present moment it seems to be one of miscommunication, arrogance and poor decisions, but a student of history, I suppose must keep the door open to the possibility that things could turn out a different way. Also, his impact may not be seen for years in how various things he could have handled better or handled at all for that matter, play out like the climate situation and the war in Iraq.

No way, the place do you get your guidance? talking from a IQ attitude, GW Bush had a severe IQ. so some distance as being the worst President ever, no, i'd say that through fact the seventeenth President, Andrew Johnson grow to be impeached via the domicile of Representatives in 1868 for violation of the Tenure in workplace Act of 1867 that he ranks up there as between the worst US Presidents in historic previous.

Bush is the worse thus far. Nixon was bad because he was so paranoid of almost everything, and started wire tapping everything. And the funny thing is what took Nixon down is the same thing he was afraid of. The males in the Bush family are crooks. They are very responsible for 911, and many many people in America don't want to admit this or are in denial. There are to many organizations going around today doing research on everything. If a person is a high profil character, then there are always people watching you. The truth about the Bush family is no secret, people are just to dayum coward to do anything because we have been made afraid. We have been turned into fearfull people. And the only time most of us stand up for what we KNOW is right is when the problem hits HOME.

Jimmy Carter is, but Bush isn't much higher on the list.

Bush should have run for president in Mexico, he seems to represent them much better than he does us.

And I don't know how he can order soldiers to war and then convict them for doing their jobs. Sounds like Bill Clinton!

Hard to say. He's not as effective of a manager as I had thought when I campaigned for him back in 2000, and more of an idealogue than most of us had hoped. Ideology is nice for a guidance, but terrible for practical use.

He's on the lower end of things, I'd say, and certainly one of the least popular. Then again, I don't hold popularity too high because the average American reads at the 4th grade level and can't find Vietnam on a map. Last popular president we had couldn't keep his hands off the interns.

If you judge in terms of effectiveness at getting things done, he's down there with Carter, although Carter's ideas were far more innovative.

So far, yes. The country might actually survive and have more history so there could be even worse in the future, but no one has been as bad, ever, to this point. He is also one of the worst, most incompetent leaders in all of human history. Only a few of the inbred Roman emperors who destroyed that civilization with their incompetence are worse. America will be lucky to survive bush.

of course NOT! the economy is the best it has ever been in American history, unemployment has gone down drastically, taxes have been cut and we have blocked all attempted terror attacks since 9/11! why do you only go on what the liberal media say? i guess because they don't tell you all the good stuff he's done, i'm not saying he's the best president, i do think he has made big mistakes, but give the guy a break, he has to deal with major issues that past presidents didn't or didn't have such as major illegal immigration, terror attacks and HUGE natural worldwide disasters (katrina, Tsunami)

He is really bad and I have never liked him but he is not the worst. Remember Nixon? and Clinton? and Carter? Two real crooks who did more than just lie and a know nothing. I think Bush (II) is maybe fifth from worst.
