My friend has a one year old...Im just curious. She still counts the ounces with the formula.....and squeezing all the air out of the bottle. I thought maybe the baby was a little old for those types of bottles.....

I don't think it will hurt the baby, but really why would that be necessary at 1 year old. First off, child should be off the bottle at 1 or trying to ween them off of it, second they can release gas themselves so they can use the regular bottles. I never used the bottles with the lining with my son, I have never been a fan of them, and the other ones work just as good.

A bottle is a bottle if she choses to use the playtex bottles who cares, its what I use with my son too {he just turned 9 months}. I squeeze the air out for him as do most moms/dads that use these bottles. And believe it or not, NOT all kids are off the bottle at age 1. Some have a harder time then others doesnt mean a thing. My nephew was almost 2 when he gave up his bottle, he's now 17 {back then dr's didnt push the off the bottle by age one thing}. And my godchild was just shy of her first birthday when she gave up hers. Children will give them up when they are ready the actual type doesnt matter. But if he's a yr old unless he has a medical issue he should not be on an "infant" formula

My son was a little past his first birthday when I weaned him from bottles. We used the Playtex bottles all the way through with no problems, so I eventually quit trying to squeeze the air out.

A bottle is fine, but maybe the child should just have it in the morning and at bedtime. During the day the child should have a sippy cup. As for formula, there is some that are made for children over 12 months, but the child should be drinking milk.

nope the bottles fine shes using at one. U dont have to ever change bottles with babies ages. U change nipple sizes, but not bottles. BUT 1 year old is supposed to be the cut off for bottles, any bottles. Youo are suppose to move to the "SIPPIE" then. Some people have kids at 2 on bottles, even longer. 1 is the age for Dr's & for me. Bye bye bottle.

A bottle's a bottle.... it's not doing the baby any harm, and she probably does it out of habit more than anything. The playtex bottles are great.

usually at one the question is how to wean off not should I choose one bottle over the other. try to get rid of them all together at least during the day that will be better in the long run good luck

A one year old doesn't really need formula anymore and should be able to drink from a cup.
