I know of car MP3 players that plug into a cigarette lighter socket that use flash drives. Might that be what your are looking for?

If not, I am not aware of any popular, portable MP3 players that have the ability to hook up to a USB flash drive. The ones that can take external memory usually use memory cards (SD).

i'm assuming you're using a USB card reader, or a reader that plugs right into a USB header on the motherboard. domicile windows 98SE does not play nicely with USB, a minimum of besides as domicile windows XP does. there is not any longer plenty which would be performed approximately it, except there are particular drivers which would be put in from the Sandisk internet site that conceal the difficulty in 98SE(enormously unlikely). even though, I too have USB issues regardless of XP. in case you have better than one USB gadget, attempt unplugging it earlier using the cardboard reader.

No you cant.

A flash drive is only for use in the computer to store important files like music and stuff.

It wouldn't work if you plug it in any MP3 player.
