for the price they are great little laptops... depending on what model you are looking at that is.
mostly you want to check a few key things in buying a laptop
1. Ram +512
2. Storage: depending on usage you will want more than 40 gigs but beyond that it is up to you
3. processor: i prefer intel and the new core duo but i know ADM makes good ones too just make sure your not getting shoved into the stone ages with your processor.
thats about it, depending on the usage of your laptop you might want to check sound, video, and others but for the most part
Toshiba are 7-8 (on a 1-10 scale)

I have a 40 inch toshiba TV, and i can say it's a fairly good brand. Not sure about computers though, my computer is a Samsung.

Toshiba computers are great but I think Compaq or HP computers are best.

Yes, but I buy HP for personal use, as they are much more focused on lowering the environmental impact of their products than their competitors.

yes thay are fast with a good size harddrive i have one for over a year a it works great
