The Eye. Without question, the scariest movie ever made.

The classics like "Dracula" and "Frankenstein" if you're into black & whites. The first "Halloween" was really good for an 80's movie. The first "Nightmare on Elm St." is also a good one from the 80's.
"Ringu" and "Ju-On" are good if you want to go for the forign movies.
Lately the only movies that have really been good have been "Saw" (the first) and "the Descent." Also "High Tension" but it's foreign as well.
By far, the best is still "the Exeorcist." It was well though out and very well done. The first "Omen" was really scary too. Not the new one with Julia Styles.

A good horror movie would be stay alive and all the saw's . another good one would be night of the living dead . there is a lot out their so good luck

Oh yes and add " The Prophecy" to that list, All three.
But you can never go wrong with the classics, like, Dracula.
