Trying to figure out how much cash to take to Canada?

we call them ATM's here and yes, there are plenty..

Tofino is fairly well developed for visitng tourists so there are not only foreign exchanges but also ATMs.. typically ATMS accept cards on networks like Interac, Cirrus, Lynx, Plus.. I've used my personal bank card in the UK as well as Trinidad, Australia and Japan.. but you might want to check with your bank to see what networks it is privy to

a word of advice, I would stick to the bank or credit union offered ATMs as some of the "white machines" found in pubs or small conveneinece stores for instance ahve been reportedly used for identity theft

There are several Cash Machines as well as Interac in most stores. You will be fine just to bring a bank card, but remember you may not get the best exchange rate
