For starters, don't panic. Give your doctor a call and let him/her know about it because they are supposed to be informed of any changes in your pregnancy. Give him/her all the details, and from that they can determine whether or not it's serious. I had spotting last week, but since the baby was still moving around like an acrobat, they told me there was no need to worry. Just give your doctor a call...it never hurts to do so. That's what they're there for!

how far along are you? spotting about 14 days after you had sex is normal!!! as long as it's spotting and soaking up a pad and it should only last one to two days. later on in pregnancy not a good sign but that could be because of an exam you had that day or the next day, or after sex. late pregnancy (38-42) weeks might mean labor is starting soon, as long as it's not gushing out! like a period... call your doc just in case!

When you are pregnant, and if you are spotting, even the slightest bit, you are always supposed to call your doctor. He or she will let you know if you need to come in or not.
It may not always be a sign something is wrong, but you are never supposed to let it go unnoticed, b/c it could very well be a sign something isn't right. Don't stress out, just call your doctor. It could be caused from a number of things.

Call your dr right away...but I had spotting at week 6 & it was just residue in my uterus....but PLEASE call you dr. to get an ultrasound!

they sent me right into emergerncy, it was nothin, but call your doc or midwife and they will advice you best.
