Serious question to which I shall add further details once your views are known.

The reason I ask, is that this problem is intractable and unresolveable.
The Arabs and Persians have their Religious and Race Issues.
The Arabs and Persions have a Jewish issue to deal with.
We in the West have stumbled onto a situation where our actions whether conciously or not have been guided by a patriachal view of people of brown skin and have acted accordingly. I DO believe there is a racist dimension but not in one sphere.

Earnest T. PhD/THC, Not a racist point at all... The presence of the Jews, symbolized by Israel is a problem for the Persians and Arabs. This you and I know is the case. They also believe the US position on Israel is the reason why there will never be peace in the ME, until of course Israel is dismantled.

Absolutely--in so many ways.

Of course, there are racial/religious dimensions in the wars between various Arab factions, and between Arabs and Israelis. But, even more than that, there is a HUGE racial dimension in the US's involvement. (Look at all the "rag head" comments on Answers!) We US citizens find it much easier to fight and kill "brown" people, and , in other cases (like Darfor) completely ignore their tragedies, than we do white people.

Racism is rampant!

Peace

Racist! Try being mixed race in So. Korea. How about the Japanese belief that whites are inferior and blacks even more so, try being Jewish in Poland or Russia, try being Muslim in Serbia, have a go at being native American (non-Hispanic) in Mexico, see if you like being African in Darfur, or Sunni in Persia, take a swing at being Kurdish in Turkey, or Hindu or Christian in Pakistan,.or Buddhist in China..... Give me a break with your selective racism. It very universal and spans all of history.. The Human Race is totally in need of salvation in this regard and it would behoove you to take a look in the mirror before pointing fingers at the racism of others.

Probably. Arabs and Persians can't stand eachother. And, then you you have many tribal factions that hate eachother as well. Good luck sorting it out.
