If you mean that he wants to do everything for the baby or he doesn't ask for your help with the baby then my answer is... LET HIM! Maybe he thinks you deserve a break from the baby. He probably isn't trying to make you feel useless instead he is probably trying to help you out. My husband does this all the time. I told him that it made me feel useless and he told me that he wants to help out as much as he can. He wants to give me a break when he can. He wasn't trying to hurt me instead help out. Just talk to him about it. Tell him how you feel. I love spending time with my son but sometimes a break is good too.
Hope that is what you meant by feeling useless. lol

You have to be a little bit more specific. Is he a dead beat father? If the answer to my question is yes, then you should leave him and there is no way that you should feel useless. Or maybe he is one of the few men who are actually stepping up to the plate and taking care of what he created! There is no way you got pregnant on your own so there is no way you should take care of the baby by yourself! But you have to do what you have to do!!!

Either he is doing an outstanding job at being a father, and taking care of everything - or you are being useless.

I also would like to know why this is. My boyfriend does the same exact thing.
At first I praised him about how much he know about babies because he helped raise his two nephews, but I think that went to his head becuase whenever I try to help my baby he said "he's fine leave him alone."
I'm his mom and we bonded for nearly ten months. I think I know when I can and can't help my baby thank you very much!

Because yoiu give him to much authority over yoiur life and feelings. You need to bercome more confident and love yourself. Don't feel that way due to a BOY! YOU NEED TO LEARN TO LOVE YOURSELF. WHO CAN LOVE YOU MORE THAN JESUS, THEN YOURSELF?
