She constantly calls the police when she needs to communicate with us. My step son had visitation with his mother on Sunday, he was sick, now yesterday she called the police to do a well check on him. A couple of weeks ago she called the police because we dropped him off 15 minutes early. How can I stop her from calling the police and having them come to my home. It's embarrasing and I feel harrased. Someone please help. This has been going on for 10 years.

This is a person whom you cannot talk to, so talking to her is not an option.

Sounds like a good time to set up an appointment with the police chief. I can imagine he doesn't want his resources to be squandered over petty calls that have no basis.

Set up an office appointment. Meet with him, armed with documentation of every time your husband's ex has called the police (both for petty reasons and for serious ones). Let him know how this makes you feel without becoming emotional, and ask his advice on how to handle the problem. Then the ball is in his court to advise his dispatchers how to route her calls.

He may decide to send her a letter (or send a few officers to her door) informing her of the consequences of filing false reports or using taxpayers' resources injudiciously.

OMG...have her committed..this is an abuse of power and it has to stop! Is there anyway you can go back to court and have her be made to take a psychological test? This does not sound like a place I would send my child. There must be a statute of limitations as to how much harrassment you can take from this woman. If you have custody of that child, who is protecting him from the police at his door? Take some responsibility. Ever think of having her charged for harrasment? I think it would be in your step-son's best interest to not have to deal with this. I guess there is no talking to her to explain the ramifications of her actions on your step-son, so get a lawyer to do it. You have rights too, so does that child. Most lawyers will talk to you for free about your situation. Grab the yellow pages and call any lawyer for a free consultation and learn YOUR rights!! If you dont like that lawyers opinion, call another one. The squeeky wheel gets the grease. You have to put a stop to this abuse as soon as possible for your step-son's benefit.

Well you could tie her up and gag her, at least that would keep her from reaching the phone to call the police. Add some lead weights and drop her in the ocean? Nah that would definately lead to more cops. Maybe you should tell her that you already have your own handcuffs so you don't need the police to bring you anymore.

Talk to her and ask her not to. Or get ur husband to do the talking. Tell her it's not a normal, rational thing to do. Or call the police on her.
