A mother of three is going to jail for up to 2 years for tossing a McDonald's cup of ice at a car that cut her off twice on the highway. Granted, that's a stupid thing to do- but 2 years in jail? Her husband is serving his 3rd tour of duty in Iraq! Wrong or right? the sentencing is tomorrow....What do you think of this?

For Christ's sake, let her go. The person in the other car was endangering their lives by playing Russian Roulette on a highway. Is he getting punishment? Make her pay a fine maybe, but not two years in jail-Ridiculous!

Did it cause the other car to wreck? Was there any injuries? If so, depending on the severity of the injury, then yes. It is fair if the other driver was injured severly. If not, then probation I think would be more reasonable. Or even a fine.

The judge has yet to sentence...but she could face up to 2 years.

The law for this kind of violation is very clear. And frankly, her husband's service in the military has NOTHING to do with the case. She displayed road rage...a serious and growing problem in the US. She demonstrated that she clearly has anger issues, and endangered the lives of the other drivers, as well as her children and pregnant sister in the car with her.

I would agree that two years is a little severe...but its important for people to take responsibility for their actions. If you are cut off twice by the same car...does that give you the right to throw something into their car?

I think it's horrible that our justice system has come down to this farce, where we prosecute minor crimes like this and let rapists and killers walk free.
