Why is it that ones too many but 12 ain't enough?

Because, speaking only as a lay person, some people are unfortunately addicted to alcohol (or women or sex and on and on) and once their behavior has been reinforced by that first "fall back" it's extremely hard to get back up on that horse again!! (Tough audience.) @8-)
