Duct Tape is not biodegradeable. There is a good study on redorbit.com, explining why but the polymers make it so it is not biodegradable

Duct tape is not biodegradable as per industry standards definition, however, that 3bastard guy is right in so much as it will degrade over time. It takes just a few months for it to disintegrate when it is out in the elements.

Not all of duc tapes composition is degradable, but some parts are. If you have ever seen it used in direct sunlight, the outer part or silver part does degrade, but the glue and the cloth part doesn't, at least not right away.

First, U need to know what kind of duct tape your dealing with? Not all duct tape is the same. That junk you buy at a supermarket is nothing like the stuff used by AC techs.
