Why don't you look at some of the templates that are completely updatable with your own graphics and content, it may not be completely original but it will be easier than trying to build a website with no experience.
Templates are included free with domain purchase at www.1and1.com and the domain is only 6 bucks. Freewebs.com have the same kind of deal but are limited on space requirements and the domains cost 17 bucks I believe, check them both out and decide on your own, I have used both and find that 1and1.com has a lot more to offer.
