So I'm going to Las Vegas this weekend, I want to eat at a good French restaurant somewhere on the strip for either Lunch or Dinner. Any suggestions on where to go, how was the food, service, did it need hardcore reservations? I'm looking to spend around $60 per person (including meal, drink, tip, dessert, appetizer).

The Aristocrat, corner of Charleston and Rancho. I checked -- they are still listed, so they are still in business.

When we lived there, my wife and I ate there for an anniversary dinner. It was one of the top 5 best meals of my life. The service was, by far, the best I've had in my life. Sigfried and Roy were even there, dining, 2 tables over.

It may be slightly over your budget -- 15 years ago we spent $100, but it was soooo worth it.

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that fool you. And, while we did need reservations, it wasn't like you needed to "know someone" to get them, or payoff the maitre'd, either.

I'm sorry we never took the time to eat there, again.

by far the best french restaurant in vegas.. its about 20 minutes off the strip but well worth the ride(around $25 cab ride). its a very secluded hidden locals spot. very nice to sit lakeside and eat.
