No, I don't think they will. This Government has jumped at the chance to squeeze yet MORE money from the public. The prices they are quoting will not stay at those levels. They will take EVERY opportunity to increase it each year!! Plus there is NO guarantee they will do away with road tax, they just said it will "be reviewed"!! Roll on voting day!!!

Tony 'I am GOD' Blair has already said he is not listening! So the answer is no - he won't scrap the plans! But then again, why should he worry - he's jumping off the sinking ship anyway! Andas for Gordon Brown - well we all know he cannot be trusted - so goodbye and good riddance to Labour shitepots!

I hope so,but it probably won't suit them to listen because they'll be thinking of the vast revenue it will bring in. Like the recent increase in air fuel duty, governments can impose any tax they want now and claim it's an 'environmental protection' tax.

I hope not. Not just because I agree with looking at all solutions to congestion, but because the government should never bow to the mob. Many people who have "signed" this petition have no real understanding of the issues, and many have actually signed on the basis of misleading information. Petitions do not encourage sensible debate.

Not a chance!. Tony Blair will see the 1.7 million writing to him as a sign of his popularity.

Look at it this way..
If you drive the average 10,000 miles per year and they charge just 20 pence per mile...YOU will pay £2,000.
At the prices they talking about...YOU will pay MORE than you have income per year.
So, you will be going to work just to be in debt over road pricing.
I am against this crazy idea..and I dont drive.

No they never listen, they think they know best.
my brother travels 67 miles a day to work and back ,he said he will have to pack his job in because he couldn't afford to travel to work if road pricing comes in.his employers pick his hours and they are in peak time.
Nice one Tony!
