There was a suggestion of a workout buddy, and that is a good idea. My idea is to set small reachable goals and then giving yourself a reward for reaching the goal. Say if I lose 5 pounds I will take myself to a movie, or go get a new shirt or outfit or something like that. Then keep uping the goal and the reward. That should give you the drive to reach your goals. My suggestion is do a diet/workout regimine because you want to for you not for other people.

I know it's really hard to start changing your habits, I was a sugar addict and I ate candy constantly, and when I didn't I felt sad and got mood swings. But then, a couple of months ago, I just decided to stop. I had done that many times before but this time it really worked. I think what you need to do is to focus on what you'll look like when you have reached your goal. Also, don't buy unhealthy food. If you don't have any of it at home, you can't eat it can you? And try to walk instead of taking the bus or car or whatever. Get angry with yourself when you get discouraged and do it anyways. Also remember that even if you change your body your low self esteem probably wont automatically go away. Just believe in yourself and do your own thing. Who cares what other people think right :P? Good luck!

So many people are going through this same feeling. I am too. It's great that you want to be healthier and eating better, because it'll all definitely benefit yourself. Try to lay back on the carbs, because it definitely helps. Such as the South Beach Diet, if you don't eat carbs for 2 weeks, you'll see dramatic results. Instead, you can eat alternatives such as wheat bread, and whole grain pasta. Working out can be very exhausting, so take it all a little at a time. Don't tell yourself you can't do it, instead think of how this will all benefit you in the long run. Good luck!

I have low self-esteem too.
I use my low self-esteem to help me. I say to myself, "don't eat the pudding (or whatever) eat an apple, you don't want to be fat too" It's kinda harsh, but i've ALWAYS had low self-esteem and it's not going away any time soon. I'm pretty happy most of the time... just when i fail at a goal.
Reward yourself for doing good things like a healthy snack or a walk around the block or go shopping for stuff...

Don't get done on yourself. find a work-out you enjoy. Walk around the block a couple of times with your guy of Best friend. I brist walk.
Short goals.
Start to feel pretty and good about yourself. It is a matter of thinking you look good.
Dress nicely- when I dress more nicely I feel more better about myself.
Don't let others put you down.
Dance to some music. Watch what you eat.

talk to yourself what is it you want.
Write yourself an email stating what you are going to be doing to reward yourself once you have achieved a certain point
Once you start seeing changes within and internally you will make a profound decision of what you want for you
What is better for you and only you are in control of the rules.
Think about it
Do you like feeling good about yourself.
Know that you are truly a unique being and that for you to love another you firstly must love yourself.
Once you are past that point there is further rewards that you give to yourself.
You will feel good about you in the long run
Think about something really wonderful like a trip maybe
or new clothing
whatever you love the most
go for it its all for you

first of all the thing that needs to be fix is your self esteem. You can be beautiful out side and not even know it because your self esteem is low. Why do you have low self esteem is what you have to ask your self. Then after you figure that out you need to work on that first and then on the outer you. The inside is what makes the out side beautiful. Trust me i know!

get someone else to work out and eat healthy with you. It always helps to do things as a team, that way you won't be discouraged so easily. Hope this helps =)

change your attitude
lower your expectations to reality;are you trying to look like Britney or Jennifer?
Are you a few pounds over, you do not have to diet--just walk, work out 30-60 minutes a day
