After installing and applying the crack, when I run the game "mafia" in new game, it closes automatically?

Though the game runs smoothly on the tutorial mode, when I switch to new game mode after playing the intro movie it shows the loading screen and then it returns to desktop. what's the problem? can anyone give me answers? I will be very grateful.
