I'll go on a limb and say the cards are even at worst. The 7950 will be a little faster, but the ATi card will run smoother and have better image quaility. I have bought my last two cards from eVGA and both have had issues. The first was an issue with the core of the chip being faulty, and the second is with nVidia drivers. Evga did replace them, albeit slowly with ground shipping from the west to the east coast! I have never had ONE single ati card have a glitch like this.

PhysX is a proprietary function of Nvidia enjoying cards, regardless of the undeniable fact that that is no longer that significant considering the fact that maximum video games guard Physics for the time of the CPU besides. Having hardware point PhysX help is a good "greater desirable" yet that is all. Nvidia's CUDA and ATI/AMD's flow technologies are basically an identical ingredient, they are competing technologies like SLI and Crossfire. there is greater help for CUDA in expert modifying and layout purposes, yet for gaming that's a wash.

I am definitely not a fan of EVGA but the 7950GT is a faster card than the X1950pro. The X1950 pro runs about on par with the 7900GS from Nvidia.
If you can, I would look around for an XFX or BFG version of the 7950GT as they have good warranties and good customer service.
I had a 6800 fail on me, I called BFG was on hold for 30 seconds, got an RMA number. Sent it out on tuesday and recieved the replacement the following monday. Now THAT's service.

Don't go with eVGA, go with XFX XXX edition nVidia cards. They are the highest performing on the market.
nVidia is the only company to have cards out for DirectX 10.
I find their user interface much easier to use than ATI.

I don't like eVGA, but nVidia's chipsets are outperforming ATI's right now. Maybe consider another brand for the nVidia card besides eVGA. Also avoid PNY.

I am not totally familar with either of these models, but if the card is for game use, check the game titles you plan on using it with. Make sure that the game is optimized for the game you are playing, that is the best way to make sure you get the best bang for your buck.
