I recently bought a Certified Corolla and it is still under the 3 month comprehensive warranty. I want to get the car checked out because I think it may need a repair. There is a 50 dollar deductible for any repair.

Now, if the dealer determines that there is nothing wrong with the car, will I still be charge a diagnostic fee?

Why do you think it needs a repair. Light comes on, makes a specific noise or something else. If the light comes on then that can be checked with a tool that plugs into the car. I don't like advertising but I have heard on the radio that AAMCO will hook up your car to that tool and tell you what is wrong for free.

But if you take it too a dealer they will charge you. It is a business and have to. But you should always call them and ask them specifically what the charge is.

They most likely will charge you $50 unless they are really nice.
