If you wanted to know more about a place which you haven't got a chance to visit before, you search for it , though internet or perhaps library but what you get are those very superficial explanations which do not really satisfy you despite provided with pictures. This is exactly how I feel , that's why I am asking this. I want to hear from the person, the person living in somewhere else, telling me the life there. Thanks.

The place I live in Oklahoma is a small town. You have to slow down as you go through town, we don't have a stop-light. It someone wants to know something they just go to the local store (store, quickstop, gas station all in one) sit an have a cup of coffee or coke and the stories are flyin. The store owner will get you something you really need in the middle of the night if it is an emergency. There is not a local police department. We have people that live there that are doing so many illegal things and as long as they don't try to force it on anyone, cause a rukus in town, leave the kids alone and are respectful to the kids and women they are left alone by locals. Everyone comes to the assistance of their neighbor (our neighbor is the entire town) when someone needs them. We have beautiful clear water in the ponds and creeks and we drink water that is from a natural artisian well. We get the below 0 windchills and tempatures and 110 in the summer. We usually have 80-100 percent humidity in the summer so we are not just hot we are sticky. The wind is hot enough it takes yout breath away when it blows in your face. The spring and fall are wonderful. We sit on the swing and listen to the day sounds change over to the night sounds. Enjoy the nice light evening breezes. Watching all the beautiful flowers and trees bloom. Planting a garden so we can can some food and eat fresh veggies for a while. We feed out a steer so we can butcher and have fresh, tasty meat. Our children never run out of things to do and they aren't surrounded with the dangers of growing up too soon. I think I got a little carried away. Hope this is somewhat like what you are looking for, I hope you enjoy.

I live in Ohio close to Michigan. Right now it's cold and also there's a lot of Muslims and Jews in Toledo which is the city where I live. My husband and I live in a Jewish run neighborhood which is ok since the Jews are rich and pay the cops to keep the neighborhood safe. We're maybe 10 minutes from Downtown Toledo which we never go there if we have to since it's very dangerous and you can get shot there. It's also real poor there as well and there's a lot of blacks that live there. The Jews control two huge neighborhoods the one where we live and another one. The mall isn't really big at all. I've only been there once. There's only like 3 Muslim schools in my town. The rest are Christian schools or public schools. The Muslim schools are like in one little area. There's a lot of churches in Toledo. There's only one mosque but that's real far away from where my husband and I are. I'm not sure where the Jewish synagogue is though.

I live in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Supposedly it's the most dangerous city in the US, but I don't feel unsafe at all. I live in a little walk-up brick house in the city designed to be budget living during the great depression. It's about the size of a cracker jack box. We've been restoring it. The area I live in is not far from where the 1904 World's Fair was held, and many of the attractions remain - like the Jewel Box and the giant Bird Cage and Forest Park. Recently one of the fountain displays from the fair was recreated in forest park. The city has a million and one cool things to do especially if you travel off the beaten path and know where to look. Great music and food. Lots of blues and jazz and barbeque.

It's always hot. There are trees and fruits everywhere, the beaches are clear and the sand is white. It's a really beautiful place. The culture here is really unique, everyday you're going too see atleast 30 rasta men walking around. Lol. There's always some new reggae song on the radio. Sometimes if I don't know what to cook I go outside and see if there is ripe ackee on the tree, and then I cook that. The food is here delicious. Today I'm going to hellshire beach because I want some cooked lobster and my daughter wants to go swimming. Can't wait!

Peaceful, everyone knows everyone or at least knows their parents. Small town in Ozark foothills of Missouri, have a creek that runs through town were we go swimming in the summer and feed the ducks and geese in the winter. We have a summer out door gathering for everyone, a fall festival and hopeful next year a Christmas caroling/ tree lighting event. No stop lights, a Fire Department that still comes and gets cats out of trees and a mayor who sings. Yes we have drugs in the area and only due to a lack of mind use do the teenagers think there is nothing to do here. (Each generation). Close your eyes and enjoy as I pour you another glass of tea.

Gary, IN AKA America's Armpit
Then, it was halfway houses, bustling streets and businesses, a football team, and great interstate trade ties with Chicago.
Now, it's all halfway houses, newly renovated vacant bulidings, a few new houses that only the fat cats of Chicago are going to (stupidly) invest in, and crack whores. Whoopee!
Oh, also, we have a ballpark that was forged in money that could have been spent on the dozens of welfare and healthcare debts that we have today. So while you're dying of a curable disease and living in a dirt-poor shack, come see our RailCats!
