Does anyone know how to access Norton Security, when the green circle with the white tick is already showing?

my computer won't let me access my Norton account, when I click on the desktop Norton Security icon, or on the little green circle with the white tick, I have done this before with no problems. I have recently installed a new 2007 update, I am a complete computer beginner, so I only understand simple things! Norton is running ok, I just can't seem to access it - any suggestions??

if you bought it, you can contact their support desk. . . .if it is pirated. . .you r on your own! . . . .
