Ray of Light
Frozen
Power of Goodbye - this one in particular I felt was written precisely about me and the ex
Paula Cole - This Fire album...the tracks:
Throwing Stones

Happy by Hilary Duff. I'm not normally a huge fan of her music (although I do like her)...but that song has some good lyrics to it... "I’m happy and I can thank myself If it were up to you I’d be in my bed crying But I’m happy and I know that makes you mad After all the things you put me through I’m finally getting over you". Also Chris Daughtry's Over You got me through some tough times.

The girl I was seeing told me she was trying to get closer to Jesus. I was of a different faith and that was not going to work for her.
Then I found out she was seeing someone on the side, or maybe I was the guy on the side.
Dr. Dre, Snoop, and a few others had this song "Bit@hes ain't sh@t" as I was really angry for a while.

For My Broken Heart...Reba McEntire, back in 1987. The words to this song were as if they were written for only me. They were right on exactly as things happened, very eerie, and if that wasn't enough, the song was out the same time as my divorce and as these events were taking place. How weird is that?

Anything off of Melissa Etheridge's SKIN Cd. She wrote that CD after her love of 13 years dumped her, and was beginning a new with her current love Tammi Lynn. It's a great CD.

The bi*ch song by bowling for soup
"The Bi*ch Song"
Is it OK if I speak to you today
You’ve been pissed off for a week now
but, nothing I can say could make you look up.
or crack up. Is there anything that I can do
Anything to show you
[chorus]
You’re a bi*ch
but, I love you anyway
OH OH You can’t sing
But, you still put me to sleep
Baby, You’re a bi*ch
Hey Hey Hey Hey
You make me sick
But, don’t ever go away
So you tell me that there’s nothing left to say
I drive you face the window
Then you’re in my face telling me to grow up
I wish you’d grow up
I can’t wait until you fall asleep, I wonder if you know
that
[chorus]
[BREAK]
[chorus]
Yeah you’re a bi*ch but I love you anyway
So why don’t you...... Stay

With me it was the other way round it was i who dumped my ex, and it seemed every song i played just reminded me of him, even more, but i suspect any song with a strong message can be empowering.

Have never broke up. But, if there was a song I would probably listen to Kiss This by Aaron Tippin.
