Being in the construction business I know anytime the temp is between 50-70 is perfect for roofing. Cold shingles are brittle Hot ones are soft making it easy to break either way so if you have the option of doing it anytime you want Spring time is always best.

Now is a good time. When it gets to hot the shingles will tear under the weight of the roofers feet. Plus no one likes standing on a HOT roof in the summertime. Been there done that and the people who insisted I do it at that time paid dearly for it.
