1) Create a mind-control device.
2) Using the device, obtain an infinite amount of manpower and money (which will be worthless, but necessary to appease your slaves).
3) Have everyone research a way to make YOU live for a couple hundred years. Apply this "medicine" to yourself.
4) Ensure that everyone has many children and they all gain doctorates in medicine, physics, chemistry, etc.
5) Have everyone research a way to produce energy and matter from materials vastly available in space. Create the devices.
6) Have everyone research a way to make you live longer - again.
7) Have everyone create a craft that contains the matter/energy-converting devices. Build thousands of them.
8) Have everyone research a way to make YOU, disconnect yourself from your body, and exist only as a sensory being.
9) Launch into space in your craft. Change your craft whenever necessary (hardware failure, damage, etc.).
10) Float endlessly in space without having to worry about your body.
All it takes is a mind-control device...

i dont know if you could astrally project yourself up to the atmosphere and beyond.. that is if you beleive on it anyway. aside from that you can always piggyback on superman.....
