My neighbor leaves her garage door 1/2 way open 24/7 so the stray cats have someplace to sleep and she feeds them. My other neighbor has a bathtub sitting on the side of his house from last weekends remodeling. I see why people would consider living in a restricted neighborhood. But I'm with you, someone telling me to mow my grass? Then fining me when I don't. I don't mind the cats that much.

They are safer communities, more envionmentally friendly, pleasant surroundings. The streets are spotless, the landscaping lush.
It's also a safe environment for children.
As far as the HOA, what do you want to do that they don't allow? Lot's of cities now have laws that govern how tall your grass can get before they cite you. What is wrong with that? I know I want the properties around mine to remain tidy. I made a substantial investment in my property and want it to appreciate.
There are pros and cons in every neighborhood, I like the added security a gated community affords my family.

It relies upon on the rationalization. HOAs have their own policies and policies. working example, some communities are fifty 5 and over, meaning no person under the age of fifty 5 can stay there. they might null a settlement. For purposes of a short answer, HOAs are actually not meant to disclaim or discriminate based upon the risk-free training. (race, faith, beginning, color, intercourse, incapacity, age, and others finding on the state). yet, this does not advise that they might produce different motives to disclaim a purchase order. enable me know the rationalization and that i can assist you to recognize if its criminal.

Almost all new subdivisions (even older ones) with or without gates have HOA. I would be mad if my next door neighbor paint his house bright green and park his RV in the front lawn. I don't mind HOA.

i understand what u r sayin but i understand someone wanting to live in a clean neighborhood also. Have you not ever had that ONE neighbor that just trashes up their house and it makes the whole rest of u look bad? I think that is their idea. BUT I also understand where you are coming from definitely!!
