i have an Albino African Clawed Frog and he seems to be more active when the light is out does he need the light if so what is hte minimum he needs if it seems to bother him i know the normal day is 8 hours of light but does he have to have the light

i put plants on the top of the water and it sheilds some of the light out but he hides in the shade and doesnt move when the light is on

As you can see they do prefer subdued lighting when the lights are on. They don't really require a tank light, so you might keep it off except when you are viewing the tank or doing maintainance.
