That kinda depends on how long the songs are... it will hold one song that's 1GB long, two songs that are 0.5GB, etc etc

As a rough guide a 3-5 minute song is about 2MB

An 1.0GB MP3 player can approx. hold roughly 500-600 songs depending on the song sizes.

Ex. Say you have a long song (7 mins) that is probably going to take up the place of 3 songs instead of 1.

1GB is 1000 Mb
Most Mp3 are an average of 3-4 mb for 3-4 minutes. so I'd say about 270-300 songs. But that's very approximative it all depends on the songs.

The answer depends on the encoding bitrate (i.e. the "quality" of the tracks) and the length of the songs.

For 128kB/s you can esimate on 1MB per minute, so that would mean approximately 1024 minutes or about 17 hours.

If a song lasts 4 minutes then that's a little over 250 tracks.

For higher bitrates, reduce this figure.

250: Based on an average of 4MB per song
(Example: 128MB/4 = 32)
