Can you post this question every 7 weeks to help us stay on track this year? I did not vow to give up smoking - I vowed to bring more peace and joy into my life - but all the same, I had just about forgotten about that when i saw your question. It is easy to get bogged down in the details of our lives and slip back into the familiar routines, because the body and mind just sort of know the way. The price of freedom IS eternal vigilance. Thanks for the reminder!
Peace!

0uitting smoking (any habit) is very hard to do. I think it is the most insidious, wicked, unhealthy thing to do. I used to cry at nights (I'm a man), when I couldn't quit, knowing of the harm it could cause to me. Then one New Year's Day I just quit cold turkey more than ten (10) years ago and have not looked back since.

well, I don't smoke and I hardly drink... but I did vow to eat healthier, and I have... I've lost 7lbs... not a lot, I know, but that's 52 lbs in a year...
I'm gorging a little today 'cause it's fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) and for the next six weeks I will be fasting and really restricting what I eat... so.... yeah...
thanks for checkin' in. How are you doing?
