Deffinetly orchestra. My friend also plays the viola and he was to the only one. And he does have to work harder but it is somthing he enjoys and even though he does have to work harder...So if you do enjoy your viola then i suggest to keep playing it.

It depends... Which do you enjoy more? Could you see yourself doing one of these two options as a career? I don't think either choice would be a mistake. I can understand your feelings about being the only violist in the orchestra, though. However, high school orchestra can be a lot of fun! Also, remember that you can still take art or viola lessons outside of school. Another option could be getting a required class out of the way in summer school and not having to choose one over the other. Whatever you decide, I hope it goes well!

An instrument or some other ability will only get you into college if you are proficient in it. Grades are what get you into college. You have to do what your heart tells you. If music is meaningful for you, I would stick with it. That being said, you are also young enough to take a year to experiment. You could try art and still practice the viola in your own time so you don't get rusty. After a year, or even a semester, you can go back.

one thing you might try is to take art, but see if there's a way to fit in studying viola on the side.

i'm dealing with an similar decision the following quickly (i'm a junior going into my senior year and characteristic taken Latin a million and a couple of) From what I absolutely have heard the third year in a overseas language route if meant in the event you earnings from the language. once you've yet another route in thoughts and don't celebrate with French i'd pass for that, yet in case you do not I say pass for it. finally i'd say do not pass for a diverse language. you do not pick to confuse your self.
