Lord, yes! My Aunt Neat is the loudest person I've ever met. She has been married to my Uncle Harold for over 30 years... he now has to wear a hearing aid, which he mostly conveniently 'forgets' to put on. The joke in the family is that he went deaf on purpose... self-defense!
I can't stand being around really loud people. It feels like they are hitting me right in the solar plexus... constantly pushing me backwards. I usually raise my voice and then drop it to softer than normal conversational levels. Most people respond to this without even knowing that they are doing it, lowering their voices as well.
If that doesn't work, I fake a headache and say... "Hey... could you lower your voice just a wee bit, please? My head is killing me." This must be accompanied by a sweet smile and a forehead twisted in 'pain'. My aunt is worried about me... she thinks I suffer from cronic headaches!

My best friend and oh she isn't Black you idiot. Some people are so focused on race!! I been around strangers that have to do everything loud like coughing, sneezing, laughing, talking, eating etc... it's sometimes funny but sometimes annoying depending on where I am.

Yes, the girl in the office next to mine...she screams everything and walks like an overweight elephant...KLOMPKLOMPKLOMP. Her husband also works here and she yells at that man all day. I just can't take no more....

Yes! My 81 year old mother drives me crazy, and it's not because she has dementia. She slams cupboard doors, bangs pots and pans, scrapes chairs across the floor (and that sets my teeth on edge!), etc., etc.

my mom. anything she does she is so loud. the way she eat is loud, her sneeze is loud. her singing is loud
