Anti virsus work on a wired or wireless connection. Just make shure that they are installed on all computers connected to the net. My modem also has virus protection installed into the modem... so im double secure.

you only need the programs on each computer, not for a wireless connection. each computer must have its own viral program to protect it self. having it on other computers will not protect the one without it.

Every computer connected to the network needs to have it's own anti-virus, and there should only be ONE anti-virus per computer.
