No. Some actors break into the business by going to some sort of performing arts school and some are discovered in some other way. There are many actors, directors, and other Hollywood people who started film or theatre school and actually dropped out to work.

Absolutely not.
Some of the best known film actors never had a lesson in their
lives.
But you do need to find out if you are a natural actor or not.
An acting coach would help.

Its not a bad idea. You can take acting classes at a lot of schools--colleges, community colleges, universities. You can audition for parts in community plays. You can just read parts from plays aloud with friends, that is both fun and practical for getting skill at delivering lines properly. Think about the part you are playing, the character and whats going on for him or her at that moment. You can also practice with a tape recorder, get your delivery right. Good luck!

Well, you don't have to, but if you might think you're a good actor/actress now and you might be wrong.

no, you do not have to. of course virtually all working actors/actresses did go to school. would you hire a mechanic with no training? of course not. film and stage will not either.

No, but it helps. If you want solid info check out the SAG website or screen actors guild. They are well-known in that field

no, but you should if you want to be a good one. I believe that the best actors are those that originated from the theatre. They seem to be able to make the transition from theatre to movies with no problem. its just my opinion.

It never hurts to get a good education in the field of your interest but sadly, as with most things in life, "it's not what you know but who you know". Get out there and do some community theatre. Do anything you can to get some acting experience under your belt. AUDITION, AUDITION, AUDITION! That's the best experience you can get!

If you want to learn the trade, and be the best you can be, you have to take lots of acting classes.
