I asked why bush says he's fighting for liberty yet supports abortion. I never stated that I support having an abortion however. I'm saying that liberty by definition is

1 : the quality or state of being free: a : the power to do as one pleases b : freedom from physical restraint c : freedom from arbitrary or despotic control d : the positive enjoyment of various social, political, or economic rights and privileges e : the power of choice

How could you say that you support liberty yet not support the choice of another human being. All that crap about murder, PAAAALEASE!!! Its not your body. If you can't provide the type of life for the child and can't mentally take the burden of passing your child on to another person, why should you have it?

I'm in favor of pro-choice all the way because its the AMERICAN thing to do. But certain stipulations should be applied. Having an abortion 10 tims is abuse and carelessness.

I'm using abortion as a vehicle to show that true liberty in america is non-existent. As long as we have people that want to make laws that tell you what to do. That is not liberty.

What about the liberty of the unborn baby? Some people happen to believe that the fetus has certain inalienable rights. To abort the baby because you find it inconvenient to have it would be take away those rights.

That being said, the truth is, Lucas, that abortion is a made-up political issue. It is used as a spiritual litmus-test in political races and judicial appointments because it is unconstitutional to give a religious test for office. Abortion is between a woman, a man, a baby, God and a doctor. The gov't should stay out of it all together.

Well, for starters neither the Democrats nor the Republicans (as a whole) support liberty. If you need examples I can more than provide enough to substantiate that arguement.

While it can be argued that the pro-choice position is freedom it can equally be argued that it is predmeditated murder. Who, in their right mind, would intentionally kill a harmless innocent little baby? What kind of lunatic would support that?

Let me tell you a little about myself. At age 18 I volunteered for active duty in the United States military where I wound up volunteering for and serving in special forces. I know what it is to stand on a line and never back down no matter what the personal consequences while other Americans remain utterly clueless as to what it takes to have walked in my shoes. Most Americans are so clueless they still don't know the Federal Reserve is a privately owned corporation and they tend to believe what the owners of the Federal Reserve want them to believe about America.

Having done my tour of duty I learned to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. This includes the rights of the life of an unborn baby.

Now we can argue the semantics of when life begins but the fact is that a heartbeat is detectable three days after conception well before most women even have a clue that they're pregnant.

If they can't provide for the child they shouldn't have spread their legs. It's called responsibility.

If they are so mentally unstable that they cop out of adoption then they shouldn't have spread their legs. It's called personal responsibility.

Even if you're an atheist/agnostic/Satanist and you remove God from the equation (which is impossible to do) there is nothing noble about murdering an innocent little baby or condoning it.

Those who are involved in planned abortions, whether they be parents, lay workers or medical professionals, should be tried under capital punishment just like those who conduct premeditated murder.

Abortion is murder. And pro-choice supporters are accomplices in that crime against humanity. Whether or not you take the Holy Bible, God or Jesus seriously they are watching you and I'm here to keep the pressure on and shine the light on the cockroaches.

You answered your own question. Bush believes that a fetus is a human being. You don't.

No you are TRYING to use abortion to show we don't have true liberty. You have failed. Let us use your belief that abortion doesn't take another's life. In the U.S. we are able to exercise the right to abortion...hence we have Liberty. At least using your simplistic view.

So unless everyone agrees with you there is no liberty. Sorry your view of the world is called fascism. Please read what the word liberty means before trying to make an argument about it. It does NOT mean you can do anything you want.

Wait a minute...if you're "in favor of pro-choice all the way" and you find the pro-life side's argument about abortion being murder to be ludicrous, why should you care if a woman has hundreds of abortions? Why should there be any restrictions on the procedure whatsoever? If we look at the issue through your moral prism, shouldn't it be legal to undergo an abortion 5 minutes before the baby crowns?

How many times have *you* been pregnant, you smug little jerk?

Liberty and abortion do NOT go hand in hand.

And I'm pro-choice.

And wtf is so "American" about killing babies? Sicko.
