If it sat for 6 months with old fuel in it that is probably the crux of your problems.
1. Drain all your old fuel and replace it with new fuel.
2. Clean your carb. If you are sure your carb is clean then just drain the fuel out of the bowl.
3. Check your choke/enricher. Did the cable get messed up when you took the carb off?
4. Check your carb and airbox boots. Are they attached properly.
5. Did a mouse or rodent build a home in your exhaust or airbox while it sat?
6. Fully charge your battery.
7. You may need another plug if you flooded the motor with stale fuel the plug may look good but may not fire correctly.

In most cases it is a problem of bad fuel or a carb not put back together correctly. Double check all your work.
