Thinking of going to Bulgaria but want to know if there's decent snowfall there at that time of year. Any websites exist showing typical month by month snowfall for different europe resorts?

Would you recommend anywhere else for that time of year?

Try northern Sweden

there is a ski resort in Åre, Sweden
I have heard there is great skiing there.

Also, Norway is known for the best european skiing as well.

good luck

Never been to Bulgaria, but two rules of thumb:

Go High - anywhere over 1800m
Look for North facing slopes

The Ski Club of GB has snowfall history:
www.skiclub.co.uk

So does snow-forecast.com

both have free registration.

since you are thinking about bulgaria, which is very close to france, i recomend you go to megeve, france. i was there last year for skiing as well, and its a great place. its a ski resort town, and the place is absolutely beautiful! there are so many things to do, and skiing there would be a blast! it is a town in the eastern portion of france, near the italian and swiss border. you'll love it. i hope your trip in bulgaria goes well if you are planning to go there still!!!

The Sierra Nevada Mountain range in Southern Spain has good skiing at this time of year.. It is inexpensive and very close to both a large city..Granada, and only one hour from the Sea.

April is getting late for Southern Europe. You could be into slush and mud. Go high, to somewhere like Solden in Austria or maybe to USA/Canada. SkiClub of GB has good info.

I was looking for similar information too and found this useful : http://www.complete-ski.com/live-ski-reports.cfm . Its a live ski snow report map so it will show you information about the resort aswell as the weather forecast / snow.
