my friend is nice and all but I don't want her to like the same person as me. My crush is cute and funny and is smart some times.

Talk about it with your friend. I think that you should discuss with her how she would feel if he chose you and not her. The bottom line is that you two should stay friends and try to come up with a good solution for the result of his re-action to both of you. Try to make a mutual understanding that whichever one he choses the other one will except if your friendship is strong enough. Once he choses she would not be a very good friend if she continued to persue him. If one of you decides that it would hurt too bad if he chose the other one then make a pack that your friendship is worth more than a guy that may not stay in your life or be worth losing a friendship that could last forever. It's all a matter of talking it out with your friend and you both being totally honest with one another. That's really a tough situation and it's hard to say what will happen. Go to a party and both of you meet new guys and then your problem will be solved.

Aww, that's quite a tough situation. If he's smart he'll work out who he likes and not play around with you two, and if you are meant to be then you are meant to be. You shouldn't let it get between you two as there could be arguments about a boy. I think that if he does like you, then maybe it is meant to be but if he turns out liking your friend..don't be offended..people have different tastes and he may not be the right person for you..but who knows! good luck

Just tell your friend that you like the same person, and see what happens. A crush can't be worth losing a friendship over.

You should come to an agreement that he is off limits, at least until one of you find someone else first.
