If you were on the run from the police and you go to Four Corners (the point at which 4 states, and 2 Indian Reservations meet together: Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona; also, the Navajo Indian Reservation and the Ute Mountain Indian Reservation), then you can hop from state-to-state and/or reservation-to-reservation in a matter of seconds, which would frustrate police. Would this be weird?

It would be funny until you realized that you've just committed a federal crime by crossing state lines. What's even funnier is that the FBI would become involved because you would be on a reservation. That's because any crime committed on a reservation that exceeds tribal law become the responsibility of the FBI.

Regarding the picture, what's up with all the guard rails? I remember when the monument was just that slab of concrete and nothing else. :)
