I'd give each of my family members and very close friends two million dollars. This would take care of 24 people right off the bat. Buy everyone a car and/or house. Give my siblings 1 million to each of my nieces and nephews for college.
What ever was left I would donated to several charities and non-profit organizations that rely on government funding, which are generally cut back every year.

I would buy a private island in the Caribbean, sure to cost a billion and would not have to wait on closing! because i would make it part of the deal, like a Swiss bank account!

Invest the whole money into shares in all the oil companies, soon enough oil will run out and so prices will boom!! That way i have spent the 1billion so il get 99 billion and ontop of that il get money from my shares!!

I'd buy the world a coat and keep it company...or however that song goes. I'd buy all the places in the world that needed buying and fill them with something better for everyone.

Well i think it might be impossibe, but... i would buy hundreds of penny black stamps and then send them (making them worthless), give a percentage to charity/fund raisers, buy lots of boats and then send them out on a voyage to destruction, hold lavish parties... etc... it would be cool! kind of like the movie brusters millions.
