Take them to a jeweler. You wouldn't want anything to happen to such special pieces.

if its just silver (no gemstones) you can use a mild detergent soap and lukewarm water, soak it for about 2-3minutes and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. if its already has dark spots you can soak it in sugarcane or coconut vinegar(white) before placing it in the soap solution.
if your jewelries have stones, you can also soak it in the soap solution but use a straw cleaner so you can go in between the stones and under it.then wipe it dry.
you can also use baking soda...i'm not just so familiar of what solution to use with it.
have a shimmering day!

interesting enough...when something similiar happened to me i visited a local reputable jewelry store....they offered to clean them for me for free...there are ways to clean the earrings at home, however you may want to take the extra care to consult a jeweler first...sometime things are not what they appear...i.e. silverplated and the like...what a wonderful gift...gifts like these are like holding the hand of the one you love without them being physical present...
