Hello ..
To find the slope of line ....
case1. when two points are given
suppose we have given (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)
then slope of line is ...
m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 -x1)

for example
say we have to find the slope for ( 2 ,3 ) and ( 7 , -2)
then slope m = (- 2 - 3) / ( 7 - 2 )
= -5/5 = -1

case2 . when angle made by the line to the postive direction of x axis ..
then m = tan x
say angle made by line to the positive direction of x axis is 45 degree then
slope m = tan 45 = 1

so lets say u have the points (3,5) and (7,10)

to find the slope you do (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)

so it would be

(10-5) /(7-3) = 5/4

so your slope in this case would be 5/4
