Do you personally know anybody that you consider to be a good listener?

For me a good listeners is someone that only listen with ears, not saying or give any opinion about the subject. A good listeners dont tell others about the stories too, dnt discuss with others or dont ask around. A good listeners always keep everything in savememory. They dont even compare with others.

Have one conversation at a time. Listening to two things at one time means you can't hear or think about either one. Let others finish talking. To listen well, you must stop talking. Don't interrupt or put words in the other person's mouth. Don't be turned off by how others talk. Try to listen to wha a person says and not how he or she says it. It is easier to listen to some people that others. Make sure you heard right. If you didn't hear or don't understand what someone said, have them say it again. Ask them to explain it. Know what the other person wants. Ask yourself, Why are we talking? Is what they have to say important? Watch body language. Body language is a person's gestures, tone of voice, body posture, and facial expressions. It may say more than words. Listen to what the other person DOESN'T say. People don't like difficult situations. They may not look at you, use unnatural words, or pause a lot. if they do, ask questions to help them. Don't let "red flag" or "hot button" words throw you. Some words such as gay, abortion, and so on can upset us. This stops us from listening. When you hear things that make you mad or upset, try to listen anyway.

Yes, my best friend is a good listener. A good listener..........
-doesn't interrupt while u are talking
-keeps eye contact
-hears everything u have to say, rather than just the parts that seem interesting
-keeps focused on what u are saying, rather than double-tasking with other things.
-is ready when you are done with feedback on what u have been talking about
-can put themselves in your shoes and honestly feel what u are going through........whether it be pain, sadness, happiness etc.
Good friends are the best listeners because they honestly care what u are going through, and are there for u without judgement, and really want to help u or just let u vent so u feel better.

A good listner will be able ot repeat everything you just told them. They will not try to push more information out of you. They will bring up questions that perhaps you need answers to. And they will never tell anyone what you two spoke about.

Yer i know a couple, well they sit and tell me stuff and all you have to do is listen and answer if they ask you a question, tell the truth, and never tell anyone else if they don't want you to

i am a good listener. most of my friends talk like hell so i just listen and ummmmmmmmm if they nod and just pay attention to u then thats wat i call a good listener
