Maybe you want to become an interpreter? Use sign language and translate for a Deaf client. That is a different kind of training, then you have to get certified but you can call your own hours after that! Check into local community colleges for sign language.

One last thing, here are the Schools for the Deaf in PA> If you are near by any go set up a visit or vollunteer there to see what you want to do.

Check out the American Society for Deaf Children if you are looking for a school for a child.

If you are looking for a place for education and training go to the University of Pennsylvania. They have a great course for teaching the deaf and hard of hearing
