Fair point but, do we really need to cateogrize our music ? Like most people I have broad tastes, and it's hard work sometimes going around HMV looking for what I want. Why not just categorize by the Alphabet? Much easier.

If you know its in the metal section you can always find them.
If you think about it, the shop doesnt listen to every album and puts them in a group they should be. They place them where they think the should. They do this to a lot of bands and donot have a "emo section" and end up mixing all different types of rock in the metal or indie section! I agree its really annoying! Since when were Green day, P!ATD, Falloyt Boy and Yellowcard metal? Grrrr :@

Well, I suppose its better than being in the "Easy Listening" section! I can't see Billie Joe being happy at his CD's being side by side with Pat Boone or Barry Manilow!

that gets on my nerves proper bad!! green day ARE NOT metal/punk!!!! they are pop through and through, theres simply no denying it. oh yeah, another thing. guess what - i found a crossover thrash cd in the pop/rock section *throws up in disgust* ppl these days >:-[[[

I know its stupid. They put all those pop-punky bands there when The clash and sex pistols (who arent metal but are more so than GD) in rock and pop which has like Britney and everyone. Grr drives me nuts!!!

ive found prodigy in the hip hop section, monsters inc in the horror section, and pulp in the metal section, oh and bon jovi in rock section (yuk)
