It's not really a direct comparison because they're smoked differently.
Most cigar smokers puff on them, but donl't inhale deeply, while the whole point of a cigar is to draw it in in deep breaths.
As a result, many cigar smokers get less smoke in their lungs than a cigarette smoker, particularly if the cigar is a once or twice a month event.
Cigars also tend to have fewer additives and less tar.

I find it very amusing that half the people are not on here to tell you an answer to your actual question, but to tell you how bad they are for you. I'm sure you're aware of that, so I digress.
My feeling is that since they aren't inhaled as deeply as cigarettes, I would assume it is about 3-5 on average, as a cigar is mostly the leaf of tobacco, and cigarettes are stems and pieces of leaves. Also, cigars dont have as many nasty additives as cigarettes do.

They only sell those flavored cigars in the ghetto. Those things aren't cigars at all, It's just a big cigerette dipped in kool-aid. Most people don't actually smoke those, they hollow them out and use them for refer. They have to be worse for you than cigerettes. Then again most people smoke cigerettes way more than you smoke those cigars.
I say cigerettes are worse. Just go to a cigar shop and get some real cigars, if you like the grape ones you'll love a real one!

I imagine that they are both bad. I smoke cigarettes and its a nasty habit. I suppose if you only smoke a cigar a few times a month it is better then smoking cigarettes everyday.

Cigar is better because you just puff it and you inhale cigarette. You can smoke cigarette non stop but you probably can take only maximum one cigar in a day.
I'm a fan of Cohiba and Monte Cristo!

i don't know the ratio of cigarettes to cigars but both are dangerous...i guess it depends on how much nicotine it contains...cigars are definitely stronger, without the filter and all.but it does not emit much smoke (2nd hand, that is) as cigarettes do.

I would think cigarettes are worse, but only if you aren't actually inhaling the cigar smoke, which you aren't supposed to do I heard.
